We took a trip to Newport the Saturday before Labor Day and these were some of our pictures at the beach.

Korver's first solids

So Korver has a BAD gag reflex.  The cereal came right back up after gagging.  He's kept sweet potatoes down but nothing else so far.  He only has a couple bites and he's done.  Last night was our most successful night giving him some tastes and required 3 spoons-one for each hand and one to give him tastes which he liked to spit out on to one of the other spoons and feed himself LOL!  Next food I introduce I'll do in little super soft bite size chunks and have him try to feed himself.

The OFFICIAL OFFICIAL acceptance

This is the actual one from the school.  The first was from the department.  Now Spencer can officially register.  The other detailed his stipend and everything.  Yay!  We visit in July to find somewhere to live.  We're getting our house listed in the next week.  Can't wait to go!!!

What's been up since Brendan's birthday?

I know I'm behind.  I'm keeping up with our homeschooling blog so make sure you follow and subscribe to it! 

Korver was in a fashion show modeling a diaper (not one of mine-it was an upcycled diaper meaning it was made from repurposed materials...in this case a t-shirt)

Here he is the same day.  That's a 6-9 month shirt-the kid is growing like a weed!

Brendan deleted a ton of my pictures from my iPod so that's what I rescued/what he didn't delete.  It now has a passcode and he can't get in!

Happy Birthday to you, Brendan!

Brendan's birthday was April 11.  Because Spencer works 2 jobs we kind of spread his birthday out a bit.  Spencer took Brendan's actual birthday off from Schiff so we could go to dinner.  He wanted to go to Chuck-E-Cheese so we took him.  He enjoyed his pizza but it was a battle to get him to eat-he wanted to spend the whole time playing!  His daddy earned a bunch of tickets for him and he got a really cool green ball to play with outside.

Before dinner we opened presents. 

Gymboree bubble set-great price and worth EVERY penny-best bubble blower ever!

Baseball mitt-the theme we went with was outdoor activities this year

T ball set, extra balls, bubble blower, baseball mitt-he did pretty well!

He then wanted to test out his new baseball t.

After Chuck-E-Cheese it was pretty late so instead of cake we did a special cupcake for him and sang happy birthday

Then we did his cake the next day.  He wanted a Buzz cake this year:

On Saturday, after his birthday, we went to the zoo.

He got kind of mad that the fountain was broken :(

And he LOVES his Lightning McQueen radio/cd player from Spencer's parents.  I will take pictures of his room soon and point it out-it goes really well in his room!

Korver's carseat cover

I made Korver's carseat cover for the winter.  I figured since he was a January baby he needed something that I could bring him in and out of the house.  Whenever we went somewhere I wore him in a sling or wrap.  Here are some pictures of the cover.

Laundry room improvement

I got super sick of the nasty boxes everywhere so I got rid of a few of them!  Still not exactly how I'd like it to be but much much better and much easier to get to stuff and to scoop out what I need :)!
